Who We Are
We are the Corner Canyon Chargers, and we are charging forward toward college, career, and citizenship readiness!
Now in our eighth year, we have developed an array of programs to meet the needs of our 2,300 students. Though we are a young school, we have developed traditions that make us unique and that reflect the Draper community’s culture.
Mission
The mission of Corner Canyon High School is to inspire excellence in education, in character, and in life.
Our motto is Semper Excelsius, which means Always Higher. We expect our students to come to us with different levels of academic, physical, and emotional preparedness. We also expect that each student take advantage of opportunities to improve and stretch their talents.
Our creed is CHARGE, Care, Honor, Achieve, Respect, Give, and Engage.
Demographics
Corner Canyon HS serves the community of Draper, UT, in the southeast corner of Salt Lake County. The city is 18 miles south of Salt Lake City and is bordered by the Wasatch Mountain range on the east and the Traverse Mountain range on the south.
The school boundaries are roughly south of 12300 South, east to the Wasatch Mountains, and west to the boundary between Canyons School District and Jordan School District.
Our student body of 2,444 is approximately 79.8% Caucasian, 10.3% Hispanic Latino, 2.9% Asian, 1.5% African American students, 0.8% Pacific Islander, and 4.7% multi-racial students.

Of the 814 students taking 1257 AP Exams in 2020-2021, 78% received
a score of 3 or higher.
Concurrent Enrollment: 21 courses (multiple sections) in conjunction
with Salt Lake Community College, Utah Valley University and University
of Utah.
Honors Classes: Available in the following domains—English Language
Arts; Secondary Math I, II, III; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; French;
Mandarin Chinese; and Spanish

We have 170 staff members: 100 licensed staff members: 7 counselors, 1 school psychologist, 5 administrators, and 57 support staff.
