Corner Canyon High School Returns to Virtual Learning Schedule for All Students
All Corner Canyon High students will engage in virtual learning for the next two school weeks.
The decision to temporarily change the school’s schedule is in response to the rise in numbers of COVID-19 cases associated with CCHS in addition to the positive rates in the community surrounding the Draper campus.
The action was taken Friday, Nov. 13 after consulting with the Salt Lake County Health Department.
Virtual classes for all Chargers will begin Monday, Nov. 16. On-campus classes are expected to resume on Monday, Nov. 30 — the same day that Alta and Jordan high schools and Indian Hills Middle return to in-person learning. Alta, Jordan and Indian Hills pivoted to online earlier this week after experiencing increases in novel coronavirus cases associated with the schools.
On Friday, Nov. 13, when students were engaged in independent learning as part of CSD’s usual schedule that provides Fridays for teachers to plan, collaborate and prepare for the coming week, Corner Canyon faculty and staff prepared to begin teaching virtual classes.
More information about online learning expectations via Canvas will be forthcoming from the school and individual teachers.
