Corner Canyon Chargers Return Nov. 30 to On-Campus Learning

Corner Canyon High will return to in-person learning on Monday, Nov. 30.

After the Thanksgiving Recess, Corner Canyon Chargers who are registered for in-person classes will attend school on campus Monday through Thursday with Fridays set aside for independent study and teacher preparation.

Corner Canyon High had recently pivoted again to online learning for all students because of rising numbers of COVID-19 cases associated with the school. Also considered in the decision to pause on-campus classes for two weeks was the increased positive rate in the community surrounding the school.

The two-week online-learning schedule has allowed time to greatly reduce the number of students and employees who are on isolation or quarantine status.

While the Chargers have been engaged in online learning with Corner Canyons High’s skilled and hard-working teachers, the school has been thoroughly cleaned.

Canyons District continues to ask the community to follow safety precautions, especially over the holiday weekend. Please wear face coverings, wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, and observe physical distancing guidelines in public.

Parents are asked to monitor children daily for symptoms of COVID-19. Please contact a health provider if children begin to exhibit any of the symptoms of the novel coronavirus.  Those symptoms include a fever, cough, fatigue, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, a sore throat, congestion, nausea, or difficulty breathing.

Questions? Please direct email to communications@canyonsdistrict.org. Parents also can call their child’s school or the District Office at 801-826-5000 during work hours.
