If school quality is measured by where families choose to enroll, Canyons School District schools are thriving — and Corner Canyon High School is leading the way.
Ranked No. 4 in the Salt Lake metro area in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings, Corner Canyon continues to stand out as one of the region’s top-performing schools.
That recognition reflects a broader trend: 83 percent of local high school students choose to attend Canyons schools, with hundreds more enrolling from outside District boundaries. The home of the Chargers alone enrolled 188 out-of-district students this year, a strong signal of confidence in Corner Canyon’s programs and extracurricular activities, from championship sports teams to award-winning arts programs.
“Our high schools continue to hold their place among the best,” said Canyons Director of High Schools Tom Sherwood. “We’re delivering results that families can see and trust.”
The rankings evaluate schools on college readiness, state assessments, early-college access, and graduation rates — areas where Corner Canyon continues to excel.
In a state already recognized for strong educational outcomes, Corner Canyon’s placement reinforces its reputation as a destination school preparing students for success beyond graduation.
